Our Team
Sutcliffe Trading was founded in 1988 by Bill Sutcliffe, a true stalwart of New Zealand’s timber industry. With decades of experience and deep relationships across the forestry and manufacturing sectors, Bill built the company on trust, integrity, and hands-on industry knowledge.
Now retired, Bill has passed the torch to George Harman, our current CEO. George brings a fresh perspective and a digital-first approach, continuing Sutcliffe’s legacy while expanding its role as a market maker in New Zealand’s evolving timber supply chain.
Under George’s leadership, we’re combining the best of traditional timber trading with modern technology to make procurement faster, more transparent, and more accessible to businesses across the country.
